June 8th, 2017. Day 8.
Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, MT.
We woke up at Beaver Dick Campground. Not a good night of sleep for either of us. Camping was primitive, no running water and only vault toilets. We were packed up and on the road by 11:30.
Leaving Rexburg, ID, we drove to Bozeman, MT through gorgeous country, the Tetons and Big Sky. There were bison crossings and warnings.
We stopped by the Gallatin River just to rest a bit and then again to get coffee for Stephanie at a Starbuck’s since we have a refillable rewards card.
After doing some research we found the Sunrise Campground where we are as we podcast. The campground host invited us to drive around and check it out before we committed to camping, we thought it looked fine.
We met Camper the Cat and heard it’s story. We debate the aspects of sleeping in the tent verses sleeping in the van. Dave mispronounces minestrone and explains why. Dave also tried a peanut butter and tuna sandwich. It wasn’t awful.
Scrabble- Last night Dave won by about 50 points and tonight Stephanie won by about 80 points.
Podcasting was delayed by people in the community room – one watching the movie “Dr. Strange”. We talk about Dr. Strange and Benedict Cumberbatch.
We found out that the Teton Mountains were named after breasts.
There is a possibility that we might explore Bozeman tomorrow before my show at 3. We look forward to our gig coming up in Sheridan, WY, and then Valley City, ND.
We rate Beaver Dick Campground 3/7 tiles. We will wait to rate Sunrise Campground tomorrow.
Dave (re)fried the leftover fries from Big Judd’s in Archer and they were pretty good.
Stephanie witnessed a gas station attendant ask someone for her I.D. to buy Doritos.
We once again discuss possible sign-offs.
